Truckload shipping is the movement of large amounts of homogeneous cargo, generally the amount necessary to fill an entire semi-trailer or intermodal container. A truckload carrier is a trucking company that generally contracts an entire trailer-load to a single customer.
Expedited shipping is a delivery method that’s faster than the standard shipment process. We will make sure your shipment arrives at its destination in a timely manner along with ensuring your shipment is safely delivered. This method gives shippers option to deliver any immediate loads.
Drop trailer is when a driver leaves your trailer at the facility for a period of time until another vehicle picks it up. The trailer can be already filled with cargo and be left at the intermediate facility. This method gives shippers more independence since they can load trailers on their own.
A Drop Deck is a platform semi trailer with no sides, no roof and no doors, and it has two deck levels. The floor drops down after it clears the tractor unit. The lower deck allows for hauling taller loads than a regular straight floor flatbed.
Power only trucking is used when the shipper owns the trailer that needs to be transported but does not have any trucks available to haul it. In power only shipping, the truck and driver are hired to transport the trailer/freight.
LTL is when multiple shippers’ freight is on the same trailer rather than having a single company’s freight exclusively on an individual trailer. FTL shipping is commonly used for large shipments that require taking up the entire truck, or at least close to it.
